Yumi and Brett’s love story began in Kamakura, Japan, where Brett first noticed Yumi working at a local coffee shop, effortlessly stylish in an orange bucket hat. What started as casual weekend visits soon turned into something more — especially after Brett brought along his dog, Mia, and the two bonded over their shared love of dogs.
Although Yumi and Brett were legally married in Japan, their intimate micro wedding at Cass Winery served as a beautifully curated vow renewal, thoughtfully bringing together family from both the United States and Japan. With just 30 guests, the celebration felt exclusive, intentional, and deeply personal. Even though the day was spattered with rain showers, that didn't stop this couple from having the wedding of their dreams
