Some weddings feel like a scene straight out of a movie—and Eric and Sarah’s wedding at the Madonna Inn was exactly that. As a wedding photographer, I live for events that tell a story, and from the second I arrived, I knew this day was going to be special.

Eric, who works in the film industry in Los Angeles, and Sarah, a longtime admirer of the Madonna Inn, chose this iconic venue for its bold, kitschy charm and rich history. Having grown up visiting the inn with her family, Sarah’s choice was sentimental and stylish. With its flamboyant decor and old-Hollywood feel, it was the perfect backdrop for their 1950s-inspired wedding, which spoke to Eric's love of movies.

The couple exchanged vows in the Madonna Inn’s lush Secret Garden, surrounded by dreamy greenery and flowers. As the golden California sun filtered through the trees, Sarah, radiant in a tea-length gown, and Eric, dapper in a vintage suit, promised forever to each other. Their love felt like an old black-and-white film brought to life—timeless and captivating.  As the evening unfolded beneath the stars, guests dined and danced in the garden, and the glow of string lights added to the enchanting atmosphere. Every detail—the vintage decor, retro-inspired wedding favors, and old-school rock and roll—was a nod to an era Eric and Sarah adore.

Some love stories are meant for the big screen, but Eric and Sarah’s? Theirs was even better—because it was real. Capturing their wedding wasn’t just about taking photos; it was about preserving a love as classic as Hollywood itself.
