Every maternity session that I am blessed enough to capture is a magical experience, but Mariah and Devin's was extra special. These two amazing (and gorgeous) people allowed me the opportunity to capture one of the most memorable experiences in either of their lives. The maternity session was booked and the Los Osos Oaks Reserve was chosen because it's our own little "Magical Forest" on the Central Coast. There was no better backdrop for what would happen next... Devin planned to propose to Mariah! When I found out about the surprise proposal I was probably almost as excited (and nervous) as he was - we planned a "code" so that I would be in the perfect position with camera and lights ready when he popped the question. The anticipation was incredible in the beginning of our session, and when it came time, I gave my "code" and Devin followed through. Mariah was caught completely off guard, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I've had the honor to capture. There was surprise, laughter, tears and a lot of kisses! We continued on after the proposal and did a mixture of maternity and engagement session poses to give this couple something truly wonderful to keep forever. Congratulations, you two! I can't wait to see what life has in store for you!
